Initial concept of the Holbæk pilot project

The Holbæk pilot tests how reclaimed materials can be reused in new construction and develops a shared tool for documenting buildings before demolition.

In the Holbæk pilot project, the objective is to demonstrate that materials from demolished buildings can be effectively reused. This will be tested through two building projects in which reclaimed materials will be incorporated into new construction. The pilot will explore both the opportunities and challenges of reuse, considering a range of practical, economic, and legal factors.

A key element of the pilot is that all buildings involved must be registered by defined parameters. To facilitate knowledge sharing and promote best practices, the development of a shared tool for documenting and assessing buildings prior to demolition is also included in the scope of the project. Creating a draft version of this tool is therefore an integral part of the pilot concept.
