The event was structured in three parts:
1) Presentations of the FBB project and the Stavanger projects.
2) Group sessions with two main tasks: 1. Identify barriers to material flows and policy instruments and tools to address them. 2. Assess the identified tools and policy measures in terms of their impact and the effort required to implement them.
3) A plenary session to discuss the findings: Circular Construction Toolbox.
The event was a great success, with the EU offices filled to capacity. Around 50 participants from across Europe attended and contributed enthusiastically to the group sessions. Each group produced valuable insights for discussion in the plenary session.
Drawing on the outcomes of the event, we have produced a position paper that will be submitted to the European Commission as input to its Circular Economy Act. This will be posted on the FBB web as soon as it is final.
