Swedish FBB Partners take part in Regional Collaboration

Published 30-04-2025

The Swedish partners in the FBB project – GodaHus, Kalmar Municipality and Linnaeus University – have, during the spring, carried out two events with invited participants from the regional construction sector, including both private and public actors.

At the beginning of February, a kick-off event was held where the partners presented FBB with our mission and objectives as the central theme. The interest from the sector exceeded expectations – around 95 participants attended and listened to several engaging presentations related to reuse and circular economy in the construction sector.

Insights from the industry

The kick-off meeting was followed up at the end of March with a half-day workshop, gathering invited participants representing contractors, property owners, and consultants. The goal of the meeting was to increase knowledge about how the regional construction sector can create better conditions and more effective tools for mapping future demolition and renovation projects to share with stakeholders in the building and property sector. The meeting was held at Linnaeus University and attracted around 20 external participants from the industry. Discussions during the day were productive and constructive and provided valuable insights on how the FBB project should proceed and support regional development towards increased reuse.

Looking Ahead: May 2025

The Swedish partners will host the next international meeting within the FBB – Future Baltic Bauhaus – project. We warmly welcome all participants to Kalmar on 13–14 May.
