Together with Dutch company Netics, Kalmar Municipality is exploring how lake and sea sediments can be pressed into blocks resembling concrete paving stones. With customised moulds and high-pressure technology, the material can be turned into building products for car parks, walkways, and other urban spaces – offering a sustainable alternative to traditional concrete.
