FutureBalticBauhaus and Circular South Baltic to work closer together

At a physical meeting in June 2026 between FBB and the Interreg South Baltic project Circular South Baltic, it was obviuos that both projects would benefit from closer cooperation.

Circular South Baltic focuses on circularity in the commercial building sector by exploring and supporting business models based on reused materials. Examples include methods for reusing concrete and interior walls made from waste plastic bottles. The FBB project focuses on:

-        creating digital platforms for better knowing what materials will be at hand from future demolition

-        exploring which fractions are possible to reuse when making new constructions

-        the aesthetics of constructing buildings using reused materials.

Therefor there is a lot to be gained from closer cooperation. At the meeting common study trips were talked about as well as dissemination activities were seriously discussed. The perspective of the closing seminar held together seems very sensible as we are talking to the target groups that have a shared interest in understanding and learning from the experiences gained in the two projects.
